Export signal from A. niger GlaA protein

Protein secretion tag from the GlaA enzyme from Aspergillus niger.


Usage and Biology

This secretion tag was predicted by the DeepLoc-1.0 software [1] to facilitate the export of mCherry.
When analyzed with DeepLoc-1.0, the following results were shown when this secretion tag is either absent or present.

Figure 1: The figure the sub-cellular location as predicted by DeepLoc-1.0 is the cytoplasm if this protein secretion tag is not attached to mCherry (BBa_J06504).

Figure 2: The figure the sub-cellular location as predicted by DeepLoc-1.0 is extracellular if this protein secretion tag is attached to the N-terminus of mCherry (BBa_J06504).
